COURSE CURRICULUM

This comprehensive and immersive Drawing and Painting program offers a well-rounded curriculum designed to strengthen both foundational and advanced skills through intensive studio practice and theoretical exploration. Delivered in person, Semester 1 equips students with a diverse set of tools and techniques to expand their creative expression. Courses such as Drawing – Tools and Techniques I and II, Paint – Tools and Techniques I and II, and Studio I through III provide hands-on experience in various media and methods, while Composition Design and Colour Design develop a deeper understanding of visual elements. Art History I and II offer historical context and inspiration by exploring influential movements and artists. Marketing/Portfolio Development prepares students to present their work professionally and build a compelling portfolio. Subject and Meaning I and II, along with Studio courses, encourage conceptual thinking and help students develop personal voice through experimentation and meaningful content creation. The program fosters critical thinking, creative exploration, and technical refinement, offering students access to well-equipped studio spaces and guidance from experienced instructors. By the end of the term, students will have produced a diverse body of work that reflects both technical growth and conceptual depth, positioning them for future artistic pursuits or advanced education in the visual arts.
