COURSE CURRICULUM

The Construction Project Management program is designed to help students develop the knowledge and skills required to succeed in Canada’s construction industry, with a strong focus on both technical understanding and workplace integration. In Level 1, students are introduced to Canadian society, citizenship and immigration, workplace communication, Canadian workplace culture, post-secondary learning strategies, Canadian government and politics, and occupational health and safety, helping them adapt to professional and cultural expectations in Canada. Level 2 focuses on the construction industry with courses such as Construction Industry Overview and Codes, Construction Health and Safety, Essentials of Construction, Communication for Construction Management, Law and Contracts for Construction, and Construction Project Management Fundamentals, along with co-op preparation. In Level 3, students advance into more specialized areas including Construction and the Environment, Job Site Controls, Project Planning and Scheduling, Project Cost Control and Accounting, Human Resources Management, and Applied Construction Project Management. The program emphasizes both theoretical knowledge and practical application, preparing students to manage construction projects effectively while working with diverse teams and industry professionals. Overall, it equips learners with essential skills in project coordination, communication, safety, legal compliance, and cost management, preparing them for careers in construction project management and related fields.
