COURSE CURRICULUM

The Agri-Business Management program is structured across three levels to provide students with a strong blend of business fundamentals and specialized agricultural knowledge. In Level 1, students develop core competencies through courses such as Relationship Management and Selling Fundamentals, Agricultural Marketing, Food Safety and Traceability, Managerial Accounting, Leadership and Management Fundamentals, and Canadian Occupational Health and Safety, building a solid base in both business and industry practices. Level 2 advances into more specialized topics, including issues in the agri-food industry, precision technologies in agriculture, pest control management, agricultural finance, social media and content management, and employee relations in agriculture, helping students understand modern challenges and innovations in the sector. These courses emphasize strategic thinking, financial planning, and effective communication within agricultural businesses. In Level 3, students complete a Work Integrated Learning component, which provides hands-on industry experience in a real agri-business environment. This practical placement allows learners to apply their knowledge, gain professional exposure, and develop job-ready skills. Overall, the program prepares graduates for supervisory and management roles in agriculture by combining technical expertise, business acumen, and real-world experience.
