COURSE CURRICULUM

Level 1-Electricity - Intro, Basic Gas Technician, Introduction to Gas Appliances, Propane and Natural Gas Piping Systems, Welding Technology and Fabricating Skills, Human Relations 1, Reason and Writing 1 – Technology. Level 2- Basic Electricity, Piping and Tubing Systems - Advanced, Press Regulators, Meters, Fuel Containers, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning - Theory, Appliance Venting, The Building as a System, Sheet Metal Fabrication 1, Co-operative Education Employment Preparation. Level 3- Controls, Sheet Metal Fabrication 2, Domestic Appliances and Space Heating, Water Heaters and Hydronic Heating Systems, one General Education elective. Level 4- Forced Warm Air Heat, Conversions and Add-Ons, HVAC Design Computer Applications, Air Handling, and one of the following: Introduction to Business Processes, Introduction to Small Business Concepts, or Innovation Applications. Additional Requirements (normally taken in Level 3 or 4) Air Conditioning Lab Applications, Refrigeration Lab Applications
