COURSE CURRICULUM

The Electromechanical Engineering Technician (Co-op) program is a two-year diploma structured across four levels to provide students with essential skills in automation, robotics, and electromechanical systems. In Level 1, students build a strong foundation through courses such as Mathematics, Engineering Graphics, Law and Occupational Health and Safety, Practical Electronics, Technical Writing, Electrical fundamentals, and Wiring for Automation. Level 2 advances into Mathematics, Machining, PLC and Automation Introduction, Electrical systems, Engineering Design, Process Engineering, Project Management, and co-op preparation, helping students develop both technical and workplace readiness skills. In Level 3, students focus on more advanced topics including Electronics, Robotics, Engineering Design, Electrical Machines, Mechatronics, Technical Communication, and the first phase of the Capstone Project, where they begin applying their knowledge to real-world problems. Level 4 further enhances expertise with Instrumentation, advanced Robotics, Advanced PLC and HMI Programming, and the final Capstone Project phase, along with a general education elective. The program combines theoretical learning with hands-on training and co-op experience, enabling students to develop strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills. Graduates are well-prepared for careers in automation, manufacturing, robotics, maintenance, and electromechanical system design and support.
