COURSE CURRICULUM

The Honours Bachelor of Commerce (Human Resources Management) program is a structured four-year degree designed to build strong business knowledge along with advanced HR expertise. In Level 1, students study foundational subjects such as Mathematics for Decision Making, Introduction to Accounting, Computer Applications for Business, Management Fundamentals, and Professional Communication in a Diverse World. Level 2 introduces core business areas including Marketing, Microeconomics, Operations Management, and Human Resources Management. In Level 3, students progress to Macroeconomics, Management Accounting, and Organizational Behaviour. Level 4 focuses on Business Law, advanced Marketing, Business Information Systems, and Statistics for Business. Level 5 develops HR specialization through courses in Financial Management, Performance Management, Talent Acquisition, and Employee and Labour Relations. Level 6 expands into International HR, Workplace Health and Safety, Compensation, Leadership, and Project Management, along with co-op preparation. Level 7 includes Employment and Labour Law, Training and Development, HR Information Systems, Pension and Benefits, and Negotiation and Conflict Resolution. Level 8 focuses on Organizational Development, HR Planning, Strategic Management, Career Development, and a Capstone Project. The program also includes a mandatory co-op work term, giving students practical industry experience and preparing them for careers in human resources management, recruitment, employee relations, and organizational development across various industries.
