COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business – Accounting program is a structured multi-level degree designed to build strong expertise in accounting, finance, management, and business strategy, while also preparing students for real-world professional success through a mandatory co-operative education work term. In Level 1, students begin with foundational courses such as Mathematics for Decision Making, Introduction to Accounting, Computer Applications for Business, Management Fundamentals, and Professional Communication in a Diverse World. Level 2 introduces core business disciplines including Accounting 2, Marketing, Microeconomics, Operations Management, and Human Resources Management. In Level 3, students study Management Accounting, Macroeconomics, and Organizational Behaviour. Level 4 expands into Business Law, Intermediate Accounting, Business Information Systems, and Quantitative Methods for Business Decisions. Level 5 focuses on advanced finance and accounting, including Business Finance, Intermediate Accounting, and Management Accounting. Level 6 includes Personal Taxation, Corporate Finance, Auditing, Project Management, and Co-op Employment Preparation. Level 7 advances into Corporate Taxation, Advanced Financial Accounting, and Accounting Theory, along with an Entrepreneurship or Innovation course. Level 8 culminates in Advanced Management Accounting, Advanced Taxation, Advanced Auditing, Strategic Management, Career Development, and a Capstone Project. The program also includes a co-op work term, providing hands-on industry experience and preparing graduates for careers in accounting, finance, and business management.
