COURSE CURRICULUM

The Electromechanical Engineering Technology advanced diploma program is structured across six levels to provide students with a comprehensive blend of mechanical, electrical, and automation skills. In Level 1, students build foundational knowledge through courses such as Mathematics, Engineering Graphics, Law and Occupational Health and Safety, Practical Electronics, Technical Writing, Electrical fundamentals, and Wiring for Automation. Level 2 advances into Mathematics, Machining, PLC and Automation Introduction, Electrical systems, Engineering Design, Process Engineering, and Project Management. In Level 3, students focus on Robotics, advanced Engineering Design, Electrical Machines, Mechatronics, Electronics, and a Mechatronics Project to apply practical skills. Level 4 introduces Instrumentation, advanced Robotics, Industrial Communications and Data Management, Process Engineering, Automation Integration, and co-op preparation. Level 5 emphasizes advanced topics such as Automated Cell Design, Robotics, PLC and HMI Integration, Advanced Calculus, and the first phase of the Capstone Project. In Level 6, students complete their learning with advanced Mechatronics, Process Engineering, Automated Motion Control, Vision Systems Integration, and the final Capstone Project. Overall, the program combines theory, hands-on training, and project-based learning to prepare graduates for careers in automation, robotics, advanced manufacturing, and electromechanical system design and maintenance.
