COURSE CURRICULUM

The Electrical Engineering Technology advanced diploma program is structured across multiple levels to provide students with a comprehensive blend of theoretical knowledge and practical skills. In Level 1, students build a strong foundation with courses such as Mathematics, DC Electricity, Programming and Analytical Techniques, Technical Writing, Applied Project, and Law, Ethics, and Occupational Health and Safety. Level 2 advances into Calculus, AC Electricity, Digital Fundamentals, Electronic Devices, and Computer-Aided Design, strengthening core electrical and technical competencies. In Level 3, students are introduced to Automation, Applied Electrical Code, and Electrical Machines, along with a general education elective. Level 4 focuses on Calculus, Telecommunications, advanced Electrical Machines, Digital Systems, and Project Management. In Level 5, students study advanced topics including Electrical Systems Design, PLC Applications, Power Electronics, and Electrical Power Systems. Level 6 includes Structured Cabling, Instrumentation, Industrial Robots, Capstone preparation, and co-op readiness. In Level 7, students complete advanced learning in Process Control, Quality Assurance, Telecommunications, Embedded Systems, Technical Communication, and a final Capstone project. Overall, the program integrates technical training with real-world applications and co-op preparation, equipping graduates with the skills needed for careers in automation, power systems, telecommunications, and industrial technology sectors.
