COURSE CURRICULUM

The Environmental Health and Safety Management program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to manage workplace safety and environmental responsibilities effectively. In **Semester 1**, students are introduced to key topics such as environmental and occupational management systems, industrial process safety management, hazard and risk management, occupational health and safety legislation, and statistics for environmental management. These foundational courses provide a strong base for understanding regulatory frameworks, risk assessment, and data analysis in environmental contexts. In **Semester 2**, students delve into more specialized areas including industrial occupational hygiene and toxicology, program implementation and evaluation, sampling and testing analysis, emergency planning and management, environmental construction safety, and the application of environmental epidemiology. These subjects help students develop a deeper understanding of workplace health hazards, preventive strategies, and emergency response planning. **Semester 3** includes a field placement, giving students the opportunity to apply their classroom knowledge in real-world settings. This hands-on experience prepares them for professional roles in environmental health and safety across a variety of industries.
