COURSE CURRICULUM

In Semester 1, students begin with field placements and focus on specialized instruction strategies, ethics, and professionalism. The curriculum includes courses on applied behavior analysis, autism spectrum disorders, and working with families and teams. These courses provide foundational knowledge for supporting children and individuals with autism and related challenges. In Semester 2, students advance their skills with a second field placement, along with parent and staff training. They explore behavioral skill building, treating challenging behaviors, and strategies for measuring behavior and collecting data. These courses emphasize practical techniques for managing and supporting individuals with behavioral challenges.
