COURSE CURRICULUM

The Fine Arts – Advanced program offers a comprehensive and immersive curriculum designed to develop students' artistic skills and critical thinking. In Semester 1, students begin with foundational courses such as Communication Foundations, Ideas and Images for Art and Design, Digital Resources, Drawing I, Art of Photography, and two Studio Practice courses focused on design and art essentials. Semester 2 introduces Digital Drawing, Drawing II, and digital media production, along with portfolio techniques and 3D Studio Practice. In Semester 3, the focus shifts to advanced figurative drawing, art history (Pre-history to 20th Century), contemporary creative studio work, fabrication techniques, Painting I, and Videography for Fine Arts. Semester 4 deepens the exploration with Contemporary Drawing, 20th Century to Contemporary Art Survey, Fabrication Studio II, Painting II, and Digital Media for Fine Arts. Semester 5 allows students to explore drawing further, engage in service learning through community collaboration, understand studio practices in a global context, and begin their Studio Thesis with a research focus, while also gaining technical skills in rapid prototyping. Finally, Semester 6 wraps up with a focus on entrepreneurship and professional practice, continued community service, contemporary sculpture, and the presentation phase of the Studio Thesis, along with field trips and guest lectures, offering a well-rounded and practical fine arts education.
