COURSE CURRICULUM

The Electromechanical Engineering Technology program’s curriculum is designed to provide students with a comprehensive and practical education in automation, robotics, and control systems. In Semester 1, students build foundational skills through courses such as CAD for Electrical, Digital Fundamentals, Electricity I, Math & Physics for Technology, and Communication Foundations. Semester 2 advances these skills with CAD as an Engineering Tool, Electronic Circuits I, Digital Fundamentals II, Electricity II, Fluid Power I, Mathematics for Technology II, and Programming for Technology I. In Semester 3, students deepen their expertise with Electronic Circuits II, Code for Technology, Industrial Controls I, Fluid Power II, Calculus, and a General Education Elective. Semester 4 introduces Career Planning & Development, Industrial Controls II, Integrated Automation I, Building Automation Systems, Manufacturing Sciences, and Applied Mechanics. The program’s upper years focus on automation and advanced controls, with Semester 5 offering Automation Systems, Integrated Automation II, Instrumentation & Control I, Control Panel Design/Build, Advanced Robotics, Manufacturing Processes, and a Field Placement. Finally, Semester 6 culminates with an Automation Project, Instrumentation & Control II, Dynamics of Machines, SCADA, and a General Education Elective. Together, these courses equip students with the theoretical knowledge, hands-on skills, and industry-relevant experience necessary to succeed in the dynamic field of electromechanical engineering technology.
