COURSE CURRICULUM

In Semester 1, students are introduced to foundational skills in communication, fitting, and rigging, alongside essential mathematics and safety knowledge. They also begin learning about wire welding concepts and processes using GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding). Semester 2 builds on these basics with advanced fitting, metals, and rigging techniques. Students also explore shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) concepts and processes, along with engineering blueprints. In Semester 3, the curriculum continues to deepen with further fitting training, welding practices, and exposure to wire welding using FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), as well as advanced blueprint reading. Finally, in Semester 4, students undertake a capstone project, refining their skills in welding, fitting, and inspection methods, while also engaging in precision welding using GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) and exploring welding electives.
