COURSE CURRICULUM

The Video Production program offers a comprehensive curriculum that equips students with the creative, technical, and professional skills needed for a career in media production. In Semester 1, students are introduced to foundational concepts through courses such as Audio Capture, Communication Foundations, Fundamentals of Lighting, Image Processing 1, Video Design and Workflow, and Camera Operations. Semester 2 deepens this knowledge with Documentary Video Capture, Pre-Production Concept Art, History of the Captured Image, Video Editing 1, and Compositional Design for Photography, alongside a General Education Elective. In Semester 3, students gain hands-on experience with Web Development, Advanced Lighting, Event Video Production, and Narrative Video Production, while also engaging with industry professionals through Field Trips and Visiting Lectures, and completing another General Education Elective. Semester 4 prepares students for industry entry with courses like Audio Post-Production, Portfolio Development, Entrepreneurship and Professional Practice, Corporate Video Production, and Video Editing 2, capped with a final General Education Elective. This blend of creative exploration and technical training across four semesters ensures graduates are prepared to work in a variety of video production roles, from narrative and documentary filmmaking to corporate media and event videography.
