COURSE CURRICULUM

The Sport Administration program offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed for success in the sports industry. In Semester 1, students build foundational skills with courses such as Communication Foundations, Computer Applications 1 - Sport, Financial Management of Sport Organizations 1, Introduction to Sport Management, Sport Marketing 1, and Sport Development in Canada. Semester 2 continues skill development with Computer Applications 2 - Sport, Volunteer and Non-Profit Management, Sport Marketing 2, Sport in Society, and Professionalism for Sport Business, alongside a General Education Elective. In Semester 3, students deepen their expertise through Financial Management of Sport Organizations 2, Facility Management, Sporting Goods Management, Event Management 1, and Partnership in Sport, supplemented by another General Education Elective. The final semester, Semester 4, includes courses in Sales, Digital Marketing in Sport, Team and League Management, Event Management 2, and Career Planning for Sport, along with a General Education Elective to broaden knowledge. Throughout the program, students are encouraged to select three unique elective courses to meet diploma requirements and avoid duplication of General Education or FNMI selections. This curriculum prepares graduates to effectively manage and promote sport organizations, events, and teams, ensuring they are well-rounded and ready to contribute to the dynamic field of sport administration.
