COURSE CURRICULUM

In the first semester, students are introduced to the foundational concepts of mechanical maintenance, beginning with print reading, communication, and mathematics. They explore the basics of pneumatics and gain hands-on experience through practical training in industrial maintenance mechanics. Courses in construction site safety and industrial maintenance theory provide essential knowledge for working safely and effectively in mechanical environments. The second semester builds upon the first, advancing print reading skills and introducing mechanical maintenance electricity and hydraulics. Students continue their studies in mathematics and receive further training in practical and theoretical aspects of mechanical systems. Welding is introduced to develop fabrication and repair skills, and a general education elective broadens their academic experience. In the third semester, students deepen their technical expertise with a focus on computer applications in mechanical maintenance, as well as more advanced electricity and hydraulics. Welding skills are further developed in the second-level course, and students gain additional hands-on experience in mechanical practical training. Industrial maintenance theory continues, and another general education elective supports their overall academic growth. The fourth and final semester emphasizes advanced technologies and system controls. Students learn computer-aided design (CAD) and delve into advanced fluid power and control systems. The study of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) enhances their understanding of automated systems, and a second-level course in pneumatics builds on their previous knowledge. The program concludes with advanced practical training and theory in industrial maintenance, supported by a final general education elective, preparing students for careers in the mechanical maintenance field.
