COURSE CURRICULUM

The Mechanical Engineering Technician program offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to build strong technical and practical skills across four semesters. In the first semester, students focus on foundational subjects such as Communication Foundations, Manufacturing Sciences, Additive Manufacturing Fundamentals, Mathematics for Technology I, Engineering Drawings, and Engineering Graphics I. The second semester expands into Career Planning and Development, Electrical Control Fundamentals, Fluid Power I, Mathematics for Technology II, Engineering Graphics II, Physical Science, and a General Education elective. Semester three introduces advanced topics including Manufacturing Processes, Computer-Aided Design I, Engineering Design Elements, Metrology Foundations, Engineering Materials, and another General Education elective. The fourth semester completes the program with Computer-Aided Manufacturing I, Applied Mechanics, Computer-Aided Design II, Materials and the Environment, Computer Numerical Control Programming, Statistical Methods in Quality Control, and a final General Education elective. This progression ensures students develop expertise in essential areas such as CAD/CAM, fluid power, electrical controls, manufacturing processes, and quality control techniques.
