COURSE CURRICULUM

The Electrical Engineering Technician program courses provide a comprehensive foundation in electrical theory, practical skills, and industry standards across four semesters. In Semester 1, students begin with fundamental topics such as ELEC Prints 1, ELEC Code I, and ELEC Electronics 1, alongside installation methods, electrical trade theory, mathematics, and construction site safety to build essential knowledge. Semester 2 advances with ELEC Prints 2, ELEC Code 2, communications, and instrumentation, while introducing motor controls and signaling systems, supported by continued study in installation methods and mathematics. Semester 3 deepens students’ expertise with ELEC Prints 3, ELEC Code 3, and Electronics 2, coupled with advanced installation methods, instrumentation, and mathematics for technology, alongside electrical trade theory to enhance practical understanding. In the final Semester 4, students complete the series with ELEC Prints 4, ELEC Code 4, and Electronics 3, further refining their skills in installation, instrumentation, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs), supported by electrical trade theory 3. Throughout the program, general education electives complement technical learning, ensuring a well-rounded education that prepares students to meet industry demands and excel in roles such as Instrumentation Technician or Apprentice Electrician. The curriculum balances theory, hands-on practice, and safety to ensure graduates are job-ready and compliant with professional standards.
