COURSE CURRICULUM

The Cosmetic Techniques and Management program offers a well-rounded curriculum over three semesters that blends artistic skill development with business knowledge to prepare students for diverse careers in the beauty industry. In Semester 1, students build foundational skills through courses such as Communication Foundations, Colour Theory and Analysis, Make-Up and Corrective Techniques 1, Cosmetics and Product Knowledge, Sales Techniques and Customer Service, along with a General Education elective. Semester 2 advances technical and marketing expertise with Interpersonal and Group Dynamics, Introduction to Business Computer Applications, Introduction to Skin Care, Make-Up and Corrective Techniques 2, Make-Up Artistry Marketing Strategies, Event Planning and Product Promotion, and another General Education elective. In Semester 3, students gain hands-on experience and deepen their knowledge with courses including DC Spa Lab 1, Make-Up and Corrective Techniques 3, Fragrance and Aromatherapy, Cosmetics Retail Management and Operations, Introduction to Brow and Lash Techniques, and a final General Education elective. The program emphasizes creativity, professionalism, and practical skills, ensuring students graduate with the confidence and expertise to excel as makeup artists, beauty consultants, brand managers, or entrepreneurs in the cosmetics and personal care industries.
