COURSE CURRICULUM

In the first semester, students focus on construction math and estimating, portable power tools, and tools for renovation. They also learn communication foundations, construction site safety, and the basics of foundation alterations, along with completing a general education elective. The second semester covers architectural styles, blueprint reading, and wood-framed construction, while also diving into kitchen and bath renovation, HVAC building science, and interior finishes. A general education elective is included as well. In the third semester, students study building science, interpersonal and group dynamics, and business math for renovation. Practical courses include roof framing, kitchen and bath renovation, building layout and planning, and learning to work effectively with trades, preparing students for hands-on renovation projects.
