COURSE CURRICULUM

The Trades Exploration program offers a well-rounded curriculum designed to provide students with foundational knowledge and practical skills across a variety of skilled trades. In the first semester, students focus on essential introductory courses such as Your Success and Crushing College, Basic Automotive, Basic Electrical, Basic Plumbing, and Trades Fundamentals Math 1. They also gain hands-on experience through Mechanical I and learn important safety protocols in Shop Safety. The second semester builds on this foundation with Communication Foundations and specialized courses including Basic Carpentry, Basic Hoisting, Basic Welding, HVAC Essentials, Trades Fundamentals Math 2, Mechanical 2, and Precision Metal Fabricator. This diverse range of courses ensures students receive comprehensive exposure to key trades, enabling them to make informed decisions about their future career paths. Practical shop work is combined with theoretical instruction to enhance learning outcomes, while courses like communication and safety emphasize the importance of workplace skills. Students can expect to engage in hands-on activities and rotations across different trades, gaining valuable insights into each field’s requirements and work environment.
