COURSE CURRICULUM

The Dental Office Administration program includes a range of courses designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in a dental office environment. In the first semester, students focus on foundational skills such as Academic Communication Essentials, Productivity Software for the Workplace, and Managing Dental Office Finances. They also learn about Dental Office Management 1 and gain an understanding of Dental Anatomy and Technology tailored for office administrators, alongside Illnesses and Emotional Self-Regulation to support workplace well-being. The second semester builds on this foundation with courses like Information Systems, Dental Practice, and Dental Office Management 2, which further develop administrative and operational competencies. Students also study Dental Theory and Imaging to deepen their technical knowledge. Practical experience is a critical component of the program, with two field placements providing hands-on learning opportunities in real dental office settings, supported by Field Placement Preparation. Additionally, the course on Professionalism and Client Relations ensures students develop essential interpersonal skills for managing client interactions effectively. Together, these courses prepare graduates to manage dental office operations efficiently, handle financial and administrative tasks, and serve as a professional link between patients, dental practitioners, and insurance providers.
