COURSE CURRICULUM

In Semester 1, students begin their dental sciences education with foundational courses in dental theory and practice. They are introduced to clinic theory and practice, learning about dental materials and the principles of oral health and prevention. Students also gain essential knowledge in dental radiography, which is critical for diagnosing and treatment planning in dental care. In Semester 2, the focus shifts to clinical consolidation and field placement, allowing students to apply their theoretical knowledge in real-world settings. They build on their clinical skills with advanced theory and practice, covering topics such as record keeping, dental emergencies, and dental practice administration. Nutrition and health promotion are also emphasized, along with oral health considerations in diverse populations. Additionally, students deepen their skills in dental radiography as they continue their clinical training.
