COURSE CURRICULUM

The Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Project Management is a comprehensive 60-credit program designed to develop project leaders capable of managing complex initiatives across various industries. Core courses include Management Essentials, Project Management Essentials, Business Communication, Business Ethics, and advanced project-specific courses such as Applied Digital Project Management, Managing Project Time and Scope, Project Costs, Quality, Risks and Procurements, Project Communication and Stakeholders, and Project Management Methodologies. Students also study Public-Sector Partnering and Procurement and choose one elective from areas like Organizational Management Skills, Ethical Decision Making, Cross-Cultural Management, or Negotiation Skills. A flexible elective option allows students to select from an internship or various professional development courses in areas such as interpersonal communication, critical thinking, public speaking, or Excel for Business. A unique feature of the program is the ability to specialize by choosing one of three 18-credit streams: Supply Chain Management, Digital Marketing, or Marketing Generalist. Each stream provides targeted courses—such as Supply Chain Planning or Digital Promotions—to deepen expertise in the selected focus area. This structure allows students to gain both core project management competencies and industry-relevant specialization. Additionally, students can opt for a 9-credit Co-operative Education term (COOP 1100), raising the total program credits to 69 and offering valuable hands-on industry experience. The program also offers seamless progression for graduates of Douglas College’s Post-Degree Diploma in Project Management, allowing them to enter without course repetition. Overall, the PBD in Project Management provides a well-rounded foundation for leadership in today’s dynamic project environments.
