COURSE CURRICULUM

The Geological Resources Diploma requires a total of 60 credits, combining foundational courses, required technical subjects, and electives to prepare students for a career as geological technicians. Students must select one course in communication, either CMNS 1115 Business Communication or a university-transferable English course, totaling 3 credits. In mathematics, students choose between MATH 1110 Precalculus (4 credits) or MATH 1120 Calculus I (3 credits). For physics, options include PHYS 1107 Introductory General Physics I or PHYS 1110 Mechanics, each worth 5 credits. In Earth sciences, students select between EAES 1120 or GEOG 1120 Introduction to Earth Sciences, with credit values of 3 and 4 respectively.
