COURSE CURRICULUM

The Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Computer and Information Systems is a 60-credit, two-year program that combines foundational computing skills with advanced specialization in one of three high-demand streams: Emerging Technology, Data Analytics, or Cybersecurity. In the first year, students complete core courses including Introduction to Programming, Multimedia Web Development, Integrated Software Development, Systems Analysis and Design, Operating Systems, Virtualization and Networking, Database I, Mobile Application Development, and Software Engineering. They also choose between IT Security Fundamentals or Evidence Imaging. In the second year, students select a specialization stream. The Emerging Technology stream includes courses such as Backend Web Development, UX Design, Full Stack Development, Data Structures, Mobile App Development II, Cloud Infrastructure, and a Special Topics course, plus two electives and an Applied Research Project. The Data Analytics stream includes Business Statistics I & II, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Data Visualization, Database II, a Special Topics course, and an Applied Research Project. Students then choose a mini-stream in Business, CSIS, or Marketing for further customization. The Cybersecurity stream includes focused courses in Scripting, Cloud, Mobile, Operating System, and Network Cybersecurity, as well as Vulnerabilities and Exploits, a Special Topics course, one elective, and the Applied Research Project. Each stream equips students with practical, industry-aligned skills and specialized expertise to pursue roles such as software engineer, systems analyst, data scientist, or cybersecurity specialist. With a curriculum grounded in real-world application and technological trends, the program prepares graduates for success in today’s fast-evolving tech sector.
