COURSE CURRICULUM

The Mobile Solutions Development graduate certificate program is a comprehensive four-term program designed to equip students with practical skills in mobile application design and development across a variety of devices and operating systems. In Level 1, students begin with foundational courses including software development techniques, user interface design principles, web design and development, systems design, and mobile application development for iOS. Level 2 expands knowledge in programming and database management, software quality, advanced web design, and mobile application development for Android and iOS II, emphasizing technical proficiency and software reliability. Level 3 focuses on career management in Canada, preparing students for successful integration into the workforce. In Level 4, students deepen their understanding of IT industry practices and computer and application security while completing a capstone project that consolidates their mobile development skills. Additionally, students select electives to tailor their learning, with options including entrepreneurship for mobile development, mHealth innovation, mHealth IoT development, and Android Wear development, reflecting emerging trends in mobile technology. Courses are taught by experienced industry professionals, providing students with current industry insights and practical experience. This program offers the flexibility to include a co-op work term or career management course, enabling students to gain valuable real-world experience or enhance their job readiness.
