COURSE CURRICULUM

The Project Management program at Conestoga College provides a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to lead and manage projects effectively across various industries. In Level 1, students begin by building a strong foundation through courses such as Conestoga 101, Project Leadership and Team Management, and Introduction to Project Management. They learn essential concepts including project planning with a focus on scope and quality, stakeholder management, business operations, and Agile project delivery methods. These courses develop the ability to manage teams, define project goals, and adopt flexible project approaches that respond to changing environments. In Level 2, students advance their skills through detailed studies in project scheduling, budgeting, risk and issues management, and advanced project planning and control. The capstone course allows students to apply their cumulative knowledge in a practical project setting, integrating theory with real-world experience. Additionally, the program offers specialized courses in Agile Coaching and Transformation, and Agile Product Ownership, preparing students to lead Agile initiatives and foster continuous improvement within organizations. This program not only covers traditional project management methodologies but also emphasizes Agile frameworks, which are increasingly valued in today’s dynamic business landscape. Graduates will be ready to oversee complex projects, balance stakeholder expectations, manage risks, and deliver successful outcomes, positioning them for leadership roles in project management across multiple sectors.
