COURSE CURRICULUM

The Cloud Development and Operations graduate certificate program equips students with essential skills and knowledge to excel in modern IT environments focused on cloud computing and DevOps practices. In Level 1, foundational courses such as Introduction to DevOps, Network and Security, Software Architecture, Linux Administration, Scripting and Automation, and Code Coverage and Quality Control provide a solid technical base. Students learn the principles of DevOps, secure networking, system administration using Linux, scripting to automate tasks, and methods to ensure software quality. Career Management and Conestoga 101 courses support professional development and acclimatization to the college environment. In Level 2, the program advances into specialized areas with courses in Monitoring and Logging, Container and Orchestration, Database Automation, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), and Cloud Architectures and Infrastructure as Code. These courses teach students how to implement automated monitoring solutions, manage containerized applications, automate database processes, and design cloud infrastructure using code. Through this progressive curriculum, students develop expertise in deploying, managing, and optimizing cloud-based systems while adopting best practices in DevOps.
