COURSE CURRICULUM

The Computer Engineering Technology program offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential for success in the electronics and computer engineering field. In the first year, foundational courses such as Electronics Engineering Skills, Digital Electronics I, DC Circuits, Mathematics I, and introductory programming establish core competencies. The second year builds on this foundation with Electronics I and II, Digital Electronics II, AC Circuits, Mathematics II, and advanced programming courses, alongside a general education elective to enhance communication and critical thinking skills. Moving into the third year, students delve into specialized topics including Microprocessors, Digital Design, Computer Networking, Power Electronics, Electronics Lab, and Technical Calculus I. The fourth year continues with Embedded Systems, Printed Circuit Board Design, advanced calculus, Principles of Telecommunication Systems, Transmission Lines, and Telecommunications Lab, complemented by a general education elective. In the fifth year, the focus shifts to applied skills with Automated Test and Measurement, Capstone Project I, DSP Applications, User Interface Design, and Data Structures. The final year includes Mechatronics, Embedded Operating System Development, Capstone Project II, advanced DSP Applications, and Network Enabled Hardware Development. Throughout the program, students gain hands-on experience in labs and projects, preparing them for careers as technologists in electronics, embedded systems, telecommunications, and computer networks.
