COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business Administration – Management (BAM) program at Conestoga College offers a comprehensive three-year advanced diploma designed for students pursuing careers in management, entrepreneurship, or self-employment. Throughout the program, students gain exposure to all key areas of business including accounting, marketing, sales, finance, human resources, economics, operations, and strategic planning. The curriculum begins with foundational courses in accounting principles, business computing, marketing, mathematics, and communication, and progresses to advanced topics such as applied managerial accounting, project management, supply chain operations, and sales strategies. Students also explore macroeconomics, financial management, international business, human resources, and Canadian labour relations. Advanced coursework in entrepreneurship, small business management, business analysis, and sustainable development further enhances their understanding of modern business environments. Hands-on learning is embedded through simulations, role-plays, case studies, consulting projects, and practical assignments. Key soft skills such as leadership, workplace success strategies, ethics, and decision-making are emphasized, preparing graduates to lead diverse teams and navigate complex organizational challenges. Graduates with a minimum 70% average can enter Year 3 of Conestoga's International Business Management degree. The program also prepares students for professional designations such as the C.I.M. from Chartered Managers Canada and partial completion of CHRP certification. The BAM program develops versatile management professionals ready to contribute to organizations of all sizes in a wide range of industries.
