COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business-Purchasing diploma program is a comprehensive two-year curriculum designed to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge to thrive in supply chain and logistics management. At Level 1, students build foundational skills with courses such as Grammar Essentials for Professional Communication, Business Computing Applications, Business Mathematics, Marketing, Introduction to Supply Chain and Operations Management, and Purchasing I, establishing a strong base in communication, technology, and purchasing principles. Level 2 deepens this knowledge with courses like Introduction to Accounting Principles, College Reading & Writing Across Contexts, Business Computing Collaboration and Productivity, Macroeconomics, Supply Chain Management, and Purchasing II, which collectively develop critical analytical, financial, and operational capabilities necessary for effective supply chain roles. At Level 3, the curriculum focuses on Organizational Behaviour, Applied Business Processes, Introduction to Logistics, and Procurement Law and Case Study Analysis, emphasizing the legal, operational, and interpersonal skills needed to manage purchasing activities within dynamic business environments. Finally, Level 4 offers advanced courses such as Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility, Manufacturing Purchasing, Negotiation, Public Purchasing, and Retail Buying, which prepare students to address modern challenges including ethical procurement, sustainable practices, and strategic negotiation in public and private sectors. Throughout the program, students also complete electives in general education to broaden their critical thinking and communication skills.
