COURSE CURRICULUM

Conestoga’s Mobile Application Development program offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge required for the evolving mobile technology industry. In the first level, students build a solid foundation with courses such as Technology Infrastructure: Networking, Programming: Web Foundations, Programming Concepts I, and Database Foundations, alongside essential communication and mathematics courses. The second level focuses on developing core mobile development skills with courses like Mobile Application Development I, Programming Dynamic Websites, Programming Concepts II, and Graphic Design for Mobile Apps and Games, enhancing both technical and creative abilities. Understanding Workplace Behaviours also prepares students for professional environments. Moving into level three, the program delves deeper into user-centered design and advanced programming techniques with courses such as User Experience, Hybrid Mobile Application, Mobile Application Development II, and Mobile Game Programming, providing hands-on experience with real-world development challenges. At the final level, students refine their expertise through advanced topics including Application Security and Software Quality Assurance, Mobile Wearables, Open-Source Full Stack Development, and Cloud/Deployment, culminating in a Mobile Solutions Capstone Project that integrates their learning in a comprehensive, practical experience. Electives across all levels allow students to broaden their general education.
