COURSE CURRICULUM

The Electronics Engineering Technician program offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip students with essential knowledge and practical skills across multiple facets of electronics and telecommunications. In Level 1, students build foundational competencies with courses such as Electronics Engineering Skills, Digital Electronics I, DC Circuits, Mathematics I (Electronics), and Programming I, alongside essential college preparation courses. Level 2 advances this foundation through Electronics I, Digital Electronics II, AC Circuits, and Mathematics II (Electronics), with opportunities to select general education electives to enhance broader skills. Level 3 deepens technical expertise with Electronics II, Microprocessors, Digital Design, Computer Networking, Power Electronics, and hands-on Electronics Lab work, all critical for understanding complex electronic systems and network infrastructures. In Level 4, students specialize further with Embedded Systems, Printed Circuit Board Design, Principles of Telecommunication Systems, Transmission Lines, and Telecommunications Lab, gaining practical experience with telecommunications technology. Throughout the program, students engage in both theoretical study and hands-on laboratory work, preparing them for diverse roles in electronics engineering, such as field service, automation, telecommunications, and quality control. The curriculum’s blend of core electronics, programming, networking, and telecommunications ensures graduates are well-prepared to meet industry demands. Additionally, students select general education electives, fostering communication, critical thinking, and professional skills. This well-rounded approach supports graduates in successfully transitioning to the workforce or pursuing further education and certification, including recognition by professional bodies such as OACETT.
