The Information Technology Support certificate program at Conestoga College is a two-term program that provides students with a solid foundation in IT skills essential for supporting modern business environments. In Level 1, students begin with College Reading & Writing Across Contexts (COMM1085) and Conestoga 101 (CON0101), which help develop academic and communication skills necessary for success in college and the workplace. Core technical courses include Information Technology Documentation Technologies (INFO1145), where students learn to create professional IT documentation, and Computer Systems Fundamentals (INFO1250), introducing the basics of computer hardware and software. Computer Operations and Troubleshooting (INFO1255) builds practical skills for diagnosing and resolving common computer issues, while Network Infrastructure I (INFO1385) covers foundational networking concepts. Information Technology Service Management Fundamentals (MGMT2205) introduces students to IT service management principles essential for effective support roles. In Level 2, students continue skill development with Career Success (CDEV1830), which prepares them for employment, and advanced technical courses such as Applied Network and Security (INFO1435), focusing on network security principles, and Infrastructure Services Administration (INFO1555), covering server and infrastructure management. Mobile and Messaging (INFO2260) explores communication technologies, while Windows Systems Infrastructure (INFO2375) delves into Windows server administration. Students also select a General Education elective to broaden their knowledge.
