COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Human Resource Management program spans three years and offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to develop skilled HR professionals ready to meet the demands of today’s dynamic workplaces. Starting with foundational courses in business, organizational behaviour, accounting, economics, and HR management, students build a solid understanding of key principles. Early levels introduce vital topics such as employment law, information management, and business math, laying the groundwork for advanced studies. As the program progresses, students engage with specialized HR courses like strategic workforce planning, recruitment and selection, labour and employee relations, conflict management, and learning and development. These courses, combined with studies in managerial accounting, business analytics, occupational health and safety, and organizational effectiveness, ensure a well-rounded skill set. The curriculum also incorporates emerging topics like equity, diversity, inclusion, and the future of work, reflecting modern workforce trends. Practical experience is embedded through two paid co-op work terms, providing hands-on learning and industry exposure. Students learn to apply HR information systems (HRIS) and develop data visualization skills, enhancing their technical capabilities. The program further emphasizes critical business areas such as international business planning, business law, and operations management, preparing graduates to support their organizations strategically. Interdisciplinary electives broaden students’ perspectives, while career preparation courses ensure readiness for professional success.
