The Bachelor of Digital Technology Solutions honours degree program equips students with the skills to design, develop, implement, and manage innovative IT solutions that meet evolving business needs. The curriculum spans foundational courses in programming, networking, database principles, and operating systems, progressing to advanced topics such as systems analysis and design, cloud computing, automation, and multi-tier application development. Students engage in hands-on learning through co-op work terms strategically integrated throughout the program to enhance practical experience and job readiness. Specialization options allow learners to focus on software or systems infrastructure, with courses covering enterprise application architecture, advanced mobile applications, microservices, and infrastructure as code. The program also addresses critical areas such as security principles, privacy, ethics, and law, preparing students to navigate complex regulatory environments and emerging technologies. Additional coursework in business culture, marketing, and intrapreneurship fosters a comprehensive understanding of how digital solutions align with organizational goals. In later stages, students explore architectural design, dev ops, Internet of Things (IoT), disaster recovery, and emerging technologies, culminating in a capstone project that integrates their knowledge and skills.
