COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Data Analytics program offers a comprehensive and practical curriculum designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the data-driven world. In the first level, students build foundational skills through courses like Introduction to Data Analytics, Introduction to Programming with Python, Databases, and Scientific and Technical Communications, supported by essential math courses such as Linear Algebra and Discrete Mathematics. Level two deepens this knowledge with advanced programming, applied SQL, privacy, law, and ethics, alongside inferential statistics and courses exploring the social aspects of technology. Level three introduces applied skills in Business Intelligence, Explorative Data Analysis and Visualization, Database Administration, Agile Project Management, and Co-op preparation, while students also select interdisciplinary electives to broaden their learning. In level four, students engage with Applied Business Intelligence, Ethical Considerations in Data Science, Cloud Computing Principles, Data Quality and Transformation, Data Security, and Group Dynamics, further expanding their technical and professional competencies. Level five includes a paid Co-op Work Term, providing valuable real-world experience. Levels six and seven focus on advanced topics like Supervised and Unsupervised Machine Learning, NoSQL Database Technologies, Data Warehouse Implementation, Entrepreneurship, Emerging Trends in AI, Time Series Analysis, Text and Web Mining, Model Engineering, and Business Applications of Data Analytics. Capstone projects in the final levels consolidate learning and demonstrate mastery. Electives throughout the program allow students to tailor their studies. This structured, hands-on curriculum ensures graduates are well-prepared for a wide range of careers in data analytics across industries.
