COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Honours in Accounting, Audit, and Information Technology program offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip students with essential skills in accounting, auditing, IT, and business management. The program begins with foundational courses such as Introduction to Financial Accounting, Excel, Microeconomics, Business Math, and Academic Communications, building a strong base for understanding financial principles and business concepts. As students progress, they study Intermediate Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Marketing, and Organizational Behaviour with International Applications, along with essential skills in statistics, professional communication, and management information systems. Advanced courses cover topics like Advanced Accounting, External and Internal Auditing, Taxation, Auditing Information Systems, Database Management, Finance, Business Law, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Project Management with an international focus. Students also gain practical experience through three co-op work terms, allowing them to apply classroom knowledge in real-world settings and develop professional skills. Research Methods and Critical and Creative Thinking Skills courses foster analytical and problem-solving abilities, while electives like Human Resource Management and International Business Planning broaden business acumen. This program not only prepares students for the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) Professional Education Program but also provides exemption accreditation from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) covering Modules F1 to F9.
