COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Management program requires students to complete a total of 120 credits, providing a comprehensive foundation in business principles while allowing specialization through minors or emphases such as Finance. The program begins with a core requirement of 6 credits in English courses to develop effective communication skills essential for business professionals. The business component, totaling 39 credits, includes foundational courses in economics (ECO 101 and ECO 102), accounting (ACCT 101 and ACCT 102), and introductory business courses (BUS 110, BUS 120, and either BUS 112 or MAT 151, with BUS 112 highly recommended). Additional business courses cover finance (FIN 201), marketing (MARK 201 and MARK 223), and other essential subjects such as BUS 210, BUS 250, and BUS 220. Management courses, totaling 27 credits, include finance at an advanced level (FIN 325), human resource management (HRM 220), leadership development (LDR 301 and LDR 402), and various management strategy courses (MGT 320, MGT 323, MGT 417, MGT 440, MGT 474). Students must also complete 45 credits of electives, which can be chosen to fulfill a minor or emphasis, except in business. A 3-credit internship (MGT 498) provides valuable practical experience. Additional admission requirements include achieving a minimum grade of 75% in Math 30-1 or Math 30-2 or credit in BUS 111, as well as completing AIT 100. For those focusing on Finance, a minimum of 12 credits in unspecified 300- or 400-level FIN courses is required, offering in-depth knowledge in areas such as financial analysis, investment strategies, and portfolio management, preparing graduates for careers in financial advising, analysis, and planning.
