COURSE CURRICULUM

The Post-Degree Diploma in Sustainable Business Practices is structured over two years, with required courses totaling 39 credits and elective courses offering 21 credits. In Year 1, students begin with foundational business courses, including English Composition (ENGL 100), which is essential for many subsequent courses. Other core subjects in the first year include Introductory Financial Accounting (ACCT 261), Microeconomics (ECON 101), Macroeconomics (ECON 102), Business Mathematics (MATH 111), and Principles of Marketing (MKTG 281). Students also choose between Principles of Management (MGMT 204) or Organizational Behaviour (MGMT 216), ensuring they grasp essential management concepts. In Year 2, the curriculum delves deeper into sustainability-focused courses such as Business Ethics (MGMT 303), Leading Sustainability (MGMT 307), and Sustainability Theory and Metrics (MGMT 310). Students also explore Managing Sustainable Operations (MGMT 410) and environmental science courses like Biology of the Environment (BIOL 151) or Introduction to Environmental Science (ENSC 101), offering a comprehensive understanding of the environmental impact of business.
