COURSE CURRICULUM

The program spans four semesters. Year 1 includes foundational courses such as Introduction to Adventure Tourism, Outdoor Skills I and II, Business Communications, Marketing Principles, and Environmental Stewardship. Students gain certifications in areas like wilderness first aid, risk management, and adventure guiding. Year 2 advances to specialized topics including Tourism Business Operations, Adventure Product Development, Financial Management, Human Resources in Tourism, and Sustainable Tourism Practices. Practical components involve field experiences in activities like hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, and winter sports. The curriculum integrates cooperative work terms or internships for real-world application, ensuring students develop both technical and managerial competencies.
