COURSE CURRICULUM

The Accounting Diploma program is designed to provide comprehensive foundational and advanced knowledge in accounting and business principles over two years. In the first year, the Fall semester includes courses such as Introductory Financial Accounting 1 (ACCT 261), Business Law (MGMT 212), Microeconomics (ECON 101), and a choice between Technical and Professional Writing (COMC 101) or English Composition (ENGL 100), alongside a mathematics course like Finite Mathematics 1, Business Mathematics, or Differential Calculus, totaling 15 credits. The Winter semester of Year 1 continues with Introductory Financial Accounting 2 (ACCT 262), Advanced Professional Communication (COMC 102), Computer Applications in Business (COMP 154), Macroeconomics (ECON 102), and Statistics (STAT 106), also totaling 15 credits. Year 2 moves into more specialized accounting subjects, with the Fall semester covering Taxation 1 (ACCT 363), Corporate Finance 1 (ACCT 371), Intermediate Financial Reporting 1 (ACCT 373), Introductory Management Accounting (ACCT 375), and Quantitative Methods in Business (ACCT 369), amounting to 15 credits. The Winter semester of Year 2 delves deeper with Taxation 2 (ACCT 364), Corporate Finance 2 (ACCT 372), Intermediate Financial Reporting 2 (ACCT 374), Accounting Software Applications (ACCT 350), and Business Management Review (MGMT 411), completing another 15 credits.
