COURSE CURRICULUM

The Associate of Arts Degree requires a total of 60 credits. Students must complete: 6 credits in first-year English; 6 credits in Mathematics or Science (including at least 3 credits in lab science); 6 credits in first-year Social Sciences; 6 credits in first-year Humanities; 6 credits in first- or second-year Arts (excluding Social Sciences and Humanities); 18 credits in second-year Arts in two or more subject areas; 9 credits in Arts, Science, or other areas; 9 credits in open electives. Possible areas include Anthropology, Biology, Chemistry, Criminology, Economics, English, Fine Arts, French, Geography, Geology, History, Kinesiology, Ktunaxa Language, Mathematics, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, and Women's Studies. Students can choose courses to meet specific interests or university transfer requirements.
