COURSE CURRICULUM

The Web and Graphic Design Diploma at CNC is a comprehensive two-year program that provides students with the practical skills and creative foundation needed to succeed in today’s design industry. Through a blend of theory and hands-on learning, students explore visual and online communication strategies, digital art, interactive media, typography, web development, project management, and creative problem-solving. Core courses such as Introduction to Digital Arts & Media, Intro to Design Thinking, Introduction to Web Design, and Graphic Design Fundamentals introduce students to essential tools and processes, using Adobe Creative Cloud software like Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and Premiere Pro. Students gain real-world experience through Applied Skills Labs and a Professional Internship, allowing them to develop promotional materials and portfolios that showcase their talent. The program includes focused streams in either Web or Design, enabling students to tailor their learning to their interests. The Design stream features courses such as Graphic Design for Sustainability, Visual Showcase, and 3D Design & Rapid Prototyping, while the Web stream includes Interactive Digital Media Production and Advanced Web Design Concepts. Students also choose from electives in business, university transfer, or cross-stream WEGD courses. With options in English communication, such as Composition & Style or Writing and Communication, the program ensures graduates are prepared for diverse careers in web development, digital media, advertising, or graphic design.
