COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering requires a total of 21.0 credits. In the first year, students complete 4.0 credits including Chemistry for Engineering Students, Programming and Data Management, Circuits and Mechatronics, Statics, Dynamics, Calculus for Engineering or Physics, Linear Algebra for Engineering or Science, and Introductory Electromagnetism and Wave Motion, along with fulfilling the Introduction to Engineering Disciplines courses. Additionally, 0.5 credits each are required in Complementary Studies and Basic Science Electives. The second year includes 5.0 credits covering Communication Skills, Circuits and Signals, Electronics I, Electric Machines and Power, Switching Circuits, Differential Equations, Multivariable Calculus, Mathematical Methods I, Object-Oriented Software Development, and Foundations of Imperative Programming, plus completion of the Engineering Portfolio. In the third year, 5.5 credits are required, including Design and Analysis of Engineering Experiments, Engineering Economics, Electromagnetic Fields, Digital Electronics, Electronics II, Engineering Project, Physical Electronics, Electromagnetic Waves, Computer Organization, Communication Theory, and Systems and Simulation. The fourth year requires 1.5 credits in Professional Practice, Microprocessor Systems, and Automatic Control Systems I, 1.0 credit in an Engineering Project, 2.0 credits from advanced electives such as Robotics, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Power Electronics, or other 4000-level courses, plus 0.5 credits in Basic Science Electives or approved courses in related engineering disciplines, and 0.5 credits in Complementary Studies Electives.
