COURSE CURRICULUM

The program spans four terms over two years. In the first year, students take foundational courses like COST 160 (Introduction to Costuming), COST 161 (Sewing Techniques), COST 162 (Pattern Drafting), and COST 163 (Costume History). They also study TXTL 160 (Textiles) and ENGL 100 (University Writing Strategies). The second year advances to COST 260 (Advanced Sewing), COST 261 (Millinery and Accessories), COST 262 (Dyeing and Breakdown), COST 263 (Costume Design), and capstone projects in COST 264 (Production Practicum). Electives may include film studies or theatre production courses. The curriculum includes 60 credits, with a focus on portfolio development and industry internships.
