COURSE CURRICULUM

The Arts & Entertainment Management diploma program at CapU is structured to provide students with comprehensive training in the business side of the arts and entertainment industries. The first term includes courses such as *Art, Self, and Society*, *Introduction to Creative & Cultural Industries Management*, *Arts & Entertainment Management Studio I*, *Computer Applications in Arts & Entertainment Management*, and *The Business of Performance in Arts & Entertainment*, totaling 15 credits. The second term focuses on topics like *Principles and Practices in Arts & Entertainment Management*, *Arts & Entertainment Management Studio II*, *Festival and Community Event Management*, *Venue Management*, and *University Writing Strategies*, amounting to 15 credits. In the third term, students delve into *Ethics and Social Engagement in Arts & Entertainment*, *Practicum Preparation for the Arts & Entertainment Industry*, *Marketing and Audience Development*, *Financial Management*, *Resource Development*, and *Fundamentals of Artist Development*, totaling 16 credits. The fourth term includes the *Arts & Entertainment Management Capstone* for 3 credits. Finally, during the fourth and/or fifth terms, students must complete 12 credits from a choice of practicum and contemporary issues coursework, including options for full-time or part-time practicum, as well as contemporary issues courses, for a total of 12 credits.
