COURSE CURRICULUM

The program spans four terms over two years. Year one includes foundational courses such as Human Anatomy and Physiology, Introduction to Rehabilitation, Communication Disorders, and Therapeutic Exercise. Students also take Psychology for Rehabilitation Assistants and Professional Ethics. Practical components involve lab skills in mobility aids, transfers, and basic therapy techniques. Year two advances to specialized topics like Gerontology, Mental Health in Rehabilitation, and Advanced Therapeutic Interventions. Clinical practicums are integrated, providing real-world experience in occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and speech-language pathology settings. Additional courses cover administrative skills, documentation, and interprofessional collaboration. The curriculum totals 64 credits, with a focus on evidence-based practices and client-centered care.
